We hear something funny, we laugh. Something sad, we cry. Something nice, we smile. Smiling can be fun! Thatâs why we smile in the first place. Did you know that if you smile more, you are more likely to feel happy? Smiling starts a chemical reaction in the brain, making dopamine and serotonin. Dopamine is our âhappyâ chemical in the body. Serotonin helps us reduce stress. Happiness also boosts our immune system.and resistance. The act of simply smiling can help your health. Now thatâs amazing! Your brain apparently canât tell if you are actually feeling joy, or just pretending. The brain doesnât care, it will just assume you are feeling humor. Smiling can also reduce stress and lower your heart rate. Even forcing yourself to do it can result in better health. Smiling is usually easy while you are happy, and not when youâre sad.. duh. If it isnât too hard while you are in the dumps, try smiling. It may help you feel happier sooner.! Now smiling is always more fun when you arenât embarrassed by your teeth.
